Monitoring provides 360-degree visibility for applications, servers, virtualization, containers, synthetics, storage, and network devices. A monitor periodically checks a resource to assess its behavior and performance, enabling continuous health and performance tracking. During onboarding:
- Resources are automatically discovered and managed.
- Monitoring templates are applied based on configured metrics.
- Alerts are generated to enable timely action.
The platform includes hundreds of built‑in monitors with predefined metrics and optimized thresholds for supported resources.
Components of Monitoring Templates

| Monitor | A monitor is a logical group of metrics that you can customize to monitor any specific technology or resource. |
| Template | Templates contain a group of monitors that are applied on single or multiple devices. |
